Appeal for return of valuables stolen while family voted in the General Election

A home in Crossdoney, Cavan was burgled as a family went out to vote in Saturday’s General Election.

Audrey said that her parents and sister went to vote at 8pm and returned around half an hour later.

They returned to find that their home had been broken into and ransacked, and that a quantity of cash and valuables were stolen.

Amongst the valuable items taken was a vintage gold charm bracelet and an All-Ireland medal from 1933.
