Athletic success both North and South for local athletes

In the Ulster & Northern Ireland Multi Event Championships at the Mary Peter’s Track in Belfast over the weekend there was Gold for Annalee’s Niamh Mc Corry in the U17 Heptathlon while in the Boys U13 Pentathlon it was a Monaghan/Cavan 1-2 with Ordhan Smith of Carrick Aces taking Gold and Cormac Crotty of Annalee taking Silver.

Yared Tadese continued his excellent form on the roads as he took the win Frank Duffy 10 Miler which is part of the Dublin Race Series in the Phoenix Park on Saturday. The Carrick Aces athlete set a new course record of 49.05 to finish thirty seconds clear of Mick Clohisey with England’s Josh Griffith in third.
