‘Back in 5’ campaign took place in Cavan Town for the first time today

The ‘Back in 5’ campaign took place in Cavan Town for the first time today.

The campaign sees wheelchairs and other walking aids occupy normal car parking spaces to highlight the importance of not blocking disability parking spaces, regardless of the length of time.

It is supported today by the Irish Wheelchair Association, Breffni Integrated, Cavan County Council, Garda Siochana, and Cavan Disability Network.

The campaign has previously been seen in other areas of Cavan such as Bailieborough and Cootehill and tonight the Cavan Courthouse will also light up purple in order to mark International Day for Persons with Disabilities.
