Ballybay Tidy Towns chairperson outraged by acts of vandalism in Town Park

The chairperson of Ballybay Tidy Towns says he is outraged by acts of vandalism on newly planted trees in Ballybay Town Park.

Two newly planted trees were snapped, and in one case, Martin Gleeson says a piece of the tree was stuck into a near-by park bench

Martin described it as a “pure act of vandalism” and said it is disgraceful that people would do this in a park that the Council has recently given funding to.

Speaking to Shannonside Northern Sound, Martin said there is no place in Ballybay for people who carry out these acts:
