Bank of Ireland to temporarily close half its branches in Cavan and Monaghan

Bank of Ireland is to temporarily close half of its branches in the Northern Sound region.

They’ll close from tomorrow due to a drop in footfall in recent weeks.

Five of Bank of Ireland’s 10 branches in Cavan and Monaghan are to temporarily close.

Those in Clones, Arvagh, Kingscourt, Castleblayney and Ballybay will close, with staff redeployed to support those remaining open.

The Bank says its external ATMs at the branches that are closing will remain available for use by members of the public.

The other branches in the region, Bailieborough, Carrickmacross, Cavan, Monaghan and Cootehill will remain open.

101 Bank of Ireland branches across the country are to close from tomorrow.
