The Irish Farmers Association says farmers can’t be expected to continue to sell at up to a euro below the cost of production.
It’s among the groups that’ll attend talks aimed at ending the beef dispute at 11 o’clock this morning in Celbridge in Kildare. They include the Beef Plan Movement, Meat Industry Ireland, Teagasc, Bord Bia, and the Department of Agriculture.
Farmers had protested at sites around the country in recent weeks, including in Ballyjamesduff and Clones.
