Local people are being encouraged to cherish and preserve historical school buildings.
Beryl Trenier who’s the principal of Fairgreen National School in Belturbet has been speaking as the school prepares to turn 150 tomorrow.
The school has transitioned over the years but the original building is still intact and used as a general purpose hall.
Celebrations will begin at 2pm tomorrow and a book will be launched to mark the occasion.
