Blackhill Bow Out Of All-Ireland JFC Championship

Blackhill bowed out of the All-Ireland junior football championship after a 1-7 to 1-6 defeat to Wexford’s Rathgarogue-Cushinstown.

In a very tight encounter in Newbridge, the sides had been tied at 1-2 a-piece at the half-time mark with nine points scored in the second-half.

Tadhg Cody’s 56th minute point proved to be the match winner for the Wexford Intermediate A champions who will meet Kerry’s Na Gaeil in the final after they beat Mayo’s Kilmaine 1-9 to 0-13.
