Breathing space a must in Division 1 as it enters Round 4

In Division 1 of the Allianz National Football league tomorrow evening (Saturday) table toppers Dublin welcome Donegal to Croke Park at 7pm.

The Tir Chonail side sit in 4th place on 3 points 1 behind the All Ireland champions.

On Sunday from a Northern Sound perspective, the attention will be on St Tiernachs Park Clones as Monaghan welcome Mayo to the Clones town venue at 2pm.

Both teams are on 3 points each, with the Westeners having the upper hand in recent meetings between the sides having won 4 of the last 5 outings.

With only 1 point separating the top of the table and 2nd from bottom, Monaghan midfielder Darren Hughes remarked a positive result this weekend could be the opportunity to get some breathing space in the division
