Agriculture Minister Barry Cowen is expected to make a statement to the Dáil tomorrow about his driving ban.
The Agriculture Minister is facing calls to step down, just eight days into the role.
It's after he drove for years unaccompanied on a learner permit and was caught drink-driving.
Barry Cowen was driving on a learner permit in 2016. It came to light after he was caught drink-driving while travelling from Dublin to Offaly.
He has since apologised saying he is humiliated and embarrassed.
However, the Irish Road Victims Association says the apology doesn't go far enough. Founder Donna Price says he should resign.
The Taoiseach believes Minister Cowen shouldn't be punished for something that happened years ago. Micheál Martin said he accepts his apology.
