The cancellation of the Ulster Fleadh has been described as hugely disappointing for the region.
The decision was made by the Headquarters in Monkstown in Dublin last Friday to call off this year’s event in its entirety in response to the advice relating to Covid 19.
This brings a significant blow to Cavan as NYAH Comhltas was set to host this year’s Ulster Fleadh in the county this July, which would have been a major economic boost for the region.
However, Chairperson of NYAH Comhltas Martin Donohoe says that it was the appropriate decision given the projected numbers expected to attend.
