Castleblayney teacher in China says coronavirus security measures have no sign of letting up

A Castleblayney teacher living in the HeNan province of China has now been confined to her apartment for 24 days as a result of the coronavirus outbreak.

Mykala Fox says the security measures in place have no sign of it letting up and it will be mid-March before she can return to work.

She is only allowed to leave her apartment for two hours every two days, but Mykala says that people are co-operating with these security measures because of fears over the virus.

Mykala’s mother, Sharon, said that it’s been very difficult to process and that she is proud of how Mykala has persevered through the ordeal.
