Castlerahan And Killygarry To Meet Again

Defending Cavan champions Castlerahan survived an almighty scare as Killygarry struck late on to force a replay of their Hotel Kilmore Cavan SFC quarter-final.

Killygarry had led 1-4 to two points at half-time with Ross Sheridan, Martin Reilly, Conor Smith and Darragh Gannon with points for Killygarry as Conor Smith found the net.

Castlerahan’s opening half scores coming from Fergal Flanagan and Cian Mackey as the county champions trailed by two points.

However the champions struck right back with Ronan Flanagan finding the net within 60 seconds of the restart. Ross Sheridan responded for Killygarry as Ronan Flanagan was shown a black card.

Cian Mackey and Martin Reilly exchanged points before two Stephen Cooney points moved Castlerahan level with Enda Flanagan move ahead.

Seven minutes from time Conor Smith sent over a deserved Killygarry equaliser meaning the sides will have to meet again.
