Cavan Ace Queens University Test

Mickey Graham continued his winning run in his Cavan managerial reign.

The Breffni county finished with 14 points to spare over Queens University as they won out 17 points to three in Ballyconnell

That makes it two wins from two for Graham’s side with Cavan topping section A on score difference ahead of Donegal, Wednesday night’s meeting in Ballybofey will decide the group winner with live updates on Northern Sound from 8pm.

“We are happy enough, conditions were difficult for both teams” explained Cavan boss Mickey Graham. “Its still early in the year and we’d be happy that we took a step forward from the previous week.”

“We were looking to work on a few things and to improve our handling and our first touch and I thought that was a lot better than the last day and we are looking for a steady upward curve every week we go out” explained Graham.

“We threw a lot of new people in and we’ve a panel of 45 people and everyone is working hard. It’s giving us a tough task in picking the team” explained Graham who will look to give more players game time against Donegal.
