County teams will be allowed to have their full panels attend the rest of this year’s Championship matches.

Limerick hurling manager John Kiely and Mayo football boss James Horan had been vocal critics of the limit on stadium entry to matchday squads.

But Minister for Sport Jack Chambers has confirmed the government are relaxing the rule.

That will come as good news to Cavan who are preparing to meet Dublin in the Senior All Ireland championship semi final this Saturday in Croke Park.

The Breffni side have been the team of the championship so far having accounted for Monaghan, Antrim, Down and Donegal in Ulster to set up the last 4 date with the defending champions.

That run of results comes on the back off been relegated to division 3 following 2 league defeats on their return to action.

Man of the match for the Ulster final was Thomas Galligan and he noted that they always believed they were better than what their league standing showed
