Cavan and Monaghan warned of “unseasonably windy weather” ahead

Met Éireann is warning of windy weather for the region over the next 48 hours.

The forecaster says “unseasonably windy weather “ will affect the country over that period.

It’s issued a yellow weather warning for some western counties, with a weather advisory in place for the rest of the country.

It says there’s the potential for wind-related impacts such as debris from trees and movement of unsecured outdoor items.

Meanwhile, the UK Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for most of Northern Ireland.

That warning is in place from 10am tomorrow.
