The Beef Plan group in Cavan has become the latest to pass a motion of no confidence in the organisation’s national chairs.
The group issued a statement this morning saying its AGM and county elections in Cavan have been postponed until after a national EGM later this month.
The Cavan Chair and vice-Chair Padraig Duffy and Kieran Cooney have issued a warning to anyone who organises a meeting in the county under the Beef Plan banner.
They say despite reports, no EGM has been planned for County Cavan this week and “any unauthorised meetings will be seen as a serious breach of discipline”.
A dispute has emerged within the Beef Plan movement nationally, with a number of counties passing no confidence motions in the chairs.
