Cavan Camogie Board have announced the appointment of Jimmy Greville as the new County Manager for 2020.
The Westmeath native brings with him a proven track record with Inter County squads in Camogie within his own county and at club level also and brings a strong back room team along with him.
He managed Cavan’s Crosserlough Camogie team for 2 seasons (17/18) when they won the double in Junior and Senior league and Championship as well as back to back Ulster Junior Championship titles.
The Westmeath man was also part of his brothers Johnny Greville’s backroom team this season when Westmeath secured the Liberty Insurance All Ireland Intermediate Championship title, coming from a seven-point interval deficit and win by 2 points against Galway and take home the Jack McGrath Cup to the Lake County.
“I would like to thank the members of the selection committee and executive board committee for their hard work over the past number of weeks at coming to this point, it’s a great milestone for Camogie in Cavan to be represented at Adult County Level in the National League and Championship for 2020” – Chairperson Michelle Smith
