Cavan Camogs looking forward to been part of a Super Blue Saturday

The Cavan Camogie team have began their countdown to an All Ireland appearance on Saturday the 5th of December as they get ready to face Armagh in the decider in Kingspan Breffni at 1:45pm in what will be a Super Blue Saturday as the men take on Dublin in the All Ireland Football semi final at 5:30.

Have only made a return back to senior competitive intercounty competition at the beginning of this year, following a 10 year break, the Cavan Camogs hit the ground running with 2 wins from 3 outings in the national league before it was stopped due to Covid 19, but upon the resumption of competitive action following the initial lockdown, Jimmy Greville’s side have claimed the Nancy Murray cup with a victory over Tyrone and will now face further Ulster opposition in their quest to take an All Ireland title.

It will be a first final appearance for the Breffni county since 1984 when they lost out to Cork in Croke park, but with their original plans been to get back up and running in 2020, chairperson of the Cavan Camogie county board Michelle Smith noted they were now in bonus territory
