Gerry Brady, Cavan chairman and played on the last Cavan team to play in Croke Park
The countdown to Sunday’s All Ireland Minor Football semi final between Cavan and Kerry continues
Many people outside of Cavan feel this is a daunting challenge facing the young Breffni men against a team looking to win their fourth All Ireland title in a row at this grade
For Cavan this is a new experience with their last minor outing in Croke Park at this grade coming in 1974 so while there is a game to be won it’s also a great experience for these young’s lads and hopefully they will be able to take in some of the atmosphere throughout the game as the crowds build
Gerry Brady the current chairman of the county board in Cavan was part of that last Cavan team to reach this stage of the grade when he played midfield on the day
He spoke to our reporter Damian Donoghue ahead of the game as he looks forward to the match
Throw in on Sunday is 1:30pm and the game is brought to you live on Northernsound in association with Empire Recruitment a Cavan based recruitment agency that specialises in providing staffing solutions for businesses across the northern sound area. Empirerecruitment.ie
