Cavan County Council seeking lands in Kingscourt and Bailieborough for new car parks

Cavan County Council has expressed an interest in buying land in Kingscourt and Bailieborough for new car parks in the town centres.

It’s after concerns were raised about the lack of parking in the towns, with calls for off street parking to be provided. There were claims that people parking on the street all day were preventing others from parking, which was having a knock on impact on local businesses.

Cavan County Council has now advertised its interest in buying suitable lands in the town centres of Kingscourt and Bailieborough as “potential public facilities, such as car parks”.
