The Digital Hub in Cavan today plays host to a forum on remote working.
The event, which is part of the Government’s Future Jobs Initiative, will feed into new policy in the area.
Remote working is becoming a growing trend in Ireland.
It involves working from home or another dedicated space – like the Digital Hub in Cavan – rather than in an office.
Today’s event forms part of the Future Jobs Ireland programme which aims to increase productivity and technological change, as well as cutting down on carbon emissions.
It’ll hear from local Minister Heather Humphreys and Minister for Communications Richard Bruton.
Co-Founder of Abodoo Ben Wainright will deliver the keynote address. His company matches remote workers to employers looking for new staff.
The event takes place at the Digital Hub in Cavan from 10 o’clock.
