Cavan Minor Smash Fermanagh in Kingspan Breffni

Cavan progressed to round two of the Electric Ireland Ulster Minor football championship after a 10 point over Fermanagh.

Cavan opened the scoring with a Jack Mooney point on three minutes, with Ronan McGovern three minutes later.

Conor Burns and Daryl McGurran swapped scores for Fermanagh and Cavan. A second Daryl McGurran points saw Cavan lead after 14 minutes.

Emihin Curran levelled it for Fermanagh. Conor Courtney gave Fermanagh the lead on 17 minutes with McGurran equalizing two minutes later.

Cian Farrelly gave Cavan the lead 10 minutes before the break. Emihin Curran second point levelled the game.

Two additional points from Daryl McGurran and Caoimhin McGovern gave Cavan a two point half-time, 0-7 to 0-5.

Early second half points from Daryl McGurran and Philip Smith plus a goal from Jack Tully on 40 minutes gave Cavan a seven point lead.

It took 18 second half minutes for Diarmiud King to register Fermanagh first score of the second half.

Points from Caolain McCabe, Jack Tully and Jack Mooney pushed Cavan into a 1-12 to six points lead.

With seven points to Caoimhin McGovern found the Fermanagh net. Cian Farrelly’s points a minute from time it 2-13 to six points.

In injury Oliver Hughes Jordan grabbed consolation goal for Fermanagh with Jordan and McGovern swapped points to see Cavan victorious 2-14 to 1-7.
