Cavan and Monaghan accounted for less than 2% of all IDA-sponsored visits by potential overseas investors last year.
Seven visits were made to Cavan in 2019, while just four visits were made to Monaghan.
Figures provided by Business Minister Heather Humphreys revealed that 700 IDA site visits were undertaken last year.
However, Cavan made up 1% of this figure, while Monaghan accounted for 0.6% of the visits.
Meanwhile, Dublin accounted for 41% of the visits.
Deputy Humphreys said that “site visit activity does not necessarily reflect investment potential” and added that a significant percentage of new foreign direct investment comes from existing IDA client companies.
