Cavan-Monaghan Science Festival gets underway this morning in Cootehill.

Now in its fourth year, it’ll see a number of different events taking place across the two counties to promote and encourage us to get involved in science.

Talks and events from identifying garden birds to astrophotography and forensics will be taking place this year.

Today’s family fun day, which takes place in Saint Aiden’s Comprehensive at 11 o’clock, will hear from a NASA Scientist from the Jet Propulsion Lab in California.
