In Division two of the Lidl ladies football national league in Kingspan Breffini Park Cavan had a one point win over Waterford at 2-07 to 0-12. Aishling Sheridan nabbed both goals for the Breffini county in the first half. Waterford raced into a 0-04 to 0-01 lead. Then Cavan got to within a point when Aishling Sheridan of Mullahoran struck two quickfire goals and suddenly Cavan lead by 0-04 to 2-03. Waterford were to score 7 points and take the lead before Cavan scored again and it was 0-11 to 2-04 Cavan equalised then through Aisling Doonan. Michelle Ryan and Aishling Doonan swapped points before the Templeport forward Doonan popped up with the winning point. she finished with 2-03 of their total with Aishling Sheridan getting 0-03 and Donna English hitting 0-01
and elsewhere in the division today Westmeath got the better of Laois by 0-14 to 1-09
with two games to go Cavan have played 5 won 3 and lost 2 and have a points total of 9 along with Laois Sligo Westmeath and Tyrone. Waterford and Clare have 7 points while Kildare have none. Cavan sit in third position with a points difference of plus 6. Sligo are ahead of them with plus 7 as are Laois with plus 14. Cavan have Sligo and Laois left to play.
In Division one Armagh had 7 points to spare with a 3-12 to 3-05 win over Dublin. Galway saw off Kerry by 3-06 to 1-10. in Division 3 Wexford had victory over Meath at 3-13 to 0-14. There was a full found of fixtures in Division 4 Longford had a 14 point win against at Fermanagh at 3-15 to 2-05. While Wicklow defeated Louth by 3-19 to 1-07. Carlow beat Antrim by two points by 2-08 to 1-09 and it finished Kilkenny 2-07 Derry 3-11.
Yesterday in Division one All Ireland Champions Cork saw off Monaghan by 2-14 to 1-12. In division two Clare defeated Tyrone by 3-17 to 2-10 and Sligo had a 14 point win over Kildare by 4-15 to 1-10. there were 3 games in Division three with Down defeating Limerick by 2-09 to 2-06. It finished Tipperary 5-07 Offaly 0-07 and it was Leitrim 3-06 Roscommon 3-10.
