Cavan student still hospitalised after clash at GAA match

A Cavan student remains in hospital after an off-the-ball incident during a match last week.

St Patrick’s College in Cavan and the Patrician High School in Carrickmacross were competing in a MacRory Cup game last Friday when the incident took place.

The student was airlifted from the pitch in Corduff after receiving medical treatment from a doctor at the scene. He remains in Tallaght Hospital today.

It’s believed the incident is being investigated by Ulster Schools GAA. The incident wasn’t witnessed by the referee and no action was taken against any player.
