This Sunday evening Monaghan and Cavan minors meet in the quarter final of the Ulster minor Gaelic football championship in Kingspan Breffini Park.

Monaghan accounted for Fermanagh last Sunday in the preliminary round. They had a 1-17 to 2-07 win over the Ernesiders in St Tiernachs park last Saturday evening Robbie Mc Allister got Monaghans goal as Paul Curran’s side ran out 7 point winners

Northern Sounds Sean Mc Caffrey , spoke to the trainer of the Monaghan team Padraig Treanor who was at his work place in Cavan town and the Truagh clubman noted that the build up to this game was fairly quiet so far.

For Cavan as it is a first championship outing in 2017. They are managed by John Brady and he has been speaking with Sean McCaffrey ahead of the big match and he feels that with Monaghan having an extra game played it will give them an advantage.
