Cavan Town St.Patrick’s Day Parade is ready to go this Sunday at 12.30pm

The Cavan Town St.Patrick’s Day Parade is ready to go ahead this Sunday at 12.30pm. A dispute earlier in the year over funding for the parade, saw it cancelled, causing a backlash from the community. However, following further discussion Cavan County Council was able to provide the funding.

Michael Mooney, Chair of the organising committee, says huge work has gone in over the last two weeks with over 30 floats confirmed and along with local groups marching.He also announced that Annie McEntee, a Cavan woman who annually travels from Boston for the parade is going to Grand Marshall the event
