A Cavan woman has become the fifth and final Operation Transformation Leader for the upcoming RTÉ series.
Operation Transformation is a health and fitness programme in which contestants attempt to reshape their lives.
Mother-of-two Lorraine O’Neill left school aged 14 and began working at a hairdressers.
Aged 23, she opened her own barbers which she still owns.
But balancing work and home life for Lorraine can be difficult, as one of Lorraine’s daughters has been diagnosed with cystic fibrosis.
Due to a lack of facilities in Cavan, Lorraine began fundraising and became well-known in the community for her efforts.
Some of these fundraising efforts included marathons, but Lorraine says she became burnt out from so many years of hard work.
But now, Lorraine wants to get back on track and believes if given the chance, she wouldn’t let us or herself down.
Operation Transformation begins on RTÉ One in early January 2020.
