Celtic Pure has been served with a partial closure order. The HSE served the order on the Monaghan company last week.
It follows the recall of some water bottled by the company in recent weeks after levels of arsenic in the water was found to be above legal limits.
This closure order relates to a specific well used by Celtic Pure, which the Food Safety Authority says is part of “an ongoing investigation”.
The HSE order was served on Wednesday of last week and published on the FSAI website.
Water supplied by Celtic Pure to retailers including Aldi, Lidl, Applegreen, Dunnes and Spar was recalled recently after levels of arsenic above permitted levels were found after testing.
The company blamed the failure of filtration machinery at one of its springs for the issue, with it saying it was now fully resolved.
