The chair of the Castleblayney Cancer Society is appealing for volunteers to join the Travel 2 Care initiative.
Following the 30th Anniversary celebrations by the group, they have said that helping patients get to their appointments is the area they will be focusing on in the coming months.
The Irish Cancer Society have a Voluntary Driver Service which provides transport for cancer patients attending one of the hospitals participating in the programme.
It is possible for members of the public to apply to become a driver, and this is something that the Castleblayney Cancer Society are promoting.
