The Chief Medical Officer says the recent dip in Covid-19 figures can’t be called a trend yet.
Last night, a further 720 cases of coronavirus were confirmed and 5 additional deaths.
There were 18 further cases in Cavan and 13 in Monaghan.
Cavan continues to have the highest 14-day incidence rate in the country, at 962.2.
Four out of the last five days have seen the daily rise in cases stay below one thousand.
