The Clones Renewal Scheme is the only project in the region to be shortlisted ahead of tonight’s Irish Planning Awards.
The Irish Planning Institute through these awards highlights innovation and excellence in Irish planning in order to acknowledge a diverse range of plans taking place at a local, and regional level across the country.
This year Monaghan County Council have been shortlisted under in the Management and delivery category for their work on the Clones Renewal Scheme, which also received an award in November last year at the property Industry Excellence Awards.
The scheme was launched in September 2019 aims to tackle the dereliction and decline of the area through the construction housing within the town centre, as well as adopting the ‘town centre living first’ approach in addressing problems of rural town decline.
In total, the Panel of Judges have shortlisted 34 projects across 7 categories from a total entry of 56 projects for tonight’s awards in the Westin Hotel Dublin.
