Clontibret bowed out of the Ulster senior club championship after Naomh Conaill scored a three point victory in a dour affair at Healy Park, Omagh.
The Donegal side were always in control winning out by 12 points to nine having missed a glorious goal opportunity within seconds of the throw-in via Brendan McDyer.
The early chance set the temp for the affair as a Eoghan McGettigan free and three points form play plus scores from Brendan McDyer and Leo McLoone saw the Glenties lead six points to one after 17 minutes.
Two Conor McManus frees halved the scoreline with a second Eoghan McGettigan free seeing the Donegal champions lead seven points to three at half-time.
Ciaran Thompson extended Naomh Conaill’s lead after five second half minutes, two Conor McManus frees and a Frances Hughes point brought it back to a two point game, but that was the best it got for Clontibret.
A Ciaran Thompson free and another Eoghan McGettigan point and free moved the Glenties five points clear.
Dessie Mone and Ciaran Thompson exchanged scores to make it 12 points to seven and a late Conor McManus free and point wasn’t enough as Naomh Conaill won by three, 0-9 to 0-12.
