Clontibret scored a one point win over Ballybay Pearse Brothers to advance to the semi-final of the Monaghan Greenfield Foods SFC.
Clontibret had led by three points, 13 points to 10 in the final minute of normal time before points from Paul Finlay and Aaron Toner made it a one point game.
Clontibret though held onto win 0-13 to 0-12 and progress to the semi-final’s while Ballybay enter the backdoor.
Ballybay led by one point at half-time six points to five, Conor McManus (0-3), Francis Hughes, Killian Lavelle with the Clontibret scores.

Paul Finlay moved Ballybay two clear after the break, Clontibret responded to level it via Brian Greenan, and Conor McManus,
Aaron Toner, Paudric Boyle, Christopher McGuinness and Francis Hughes all exchanged scores as the game tied up nine points apiece with eight minutes to play.
Three in a row from Conor McManus, Michael P O’Dowd and Francis Hughes made it 12 points to nine with Paul Finlay reducing it two points.
Michael P O’Dowd restored a s three point lead for Clontibret with late scores from Finlay and Aaron Toner not enough as Clontibret advance.
