The Rotary Club of Monaghan will be holding a collection of used bicycles on Saturday.
Donated bikes will be refurbished by prisoners in Loughan House and distributed by Rotary International to children in Kenya who often have to walk up to 10km for school. The project is supported by Monaghan County Council, McElvaney Motors and the Irish Prison Service. Used bikes can be donated in McNally’s carpark in Monaghan Town on Saturday between 10am and 4pm.
