Company backed by Cavan businessman in talks to buy Kettle crisps

A company backed by a Cavan businessman is in talks to buy UK crisp firm Kettle.

Seamus Fitzpatrick’s investment company CapVest has shares in Valeo Foods, which is in exclusive talks with Campbell’s Soup to purchase the snacks brand.

The deal is estimated to be worth €54 million and also include the Metcalfe popcorn company.

If an agreement is made, it’s understood it will be Valeo’s twelfth acquisition since it was founded with backing from CapVest in 2010.
