The North’s Finance Minister has again refused to publicly state that Paul Quinn was not engaged in criminal activity.
Conor Murphy was asked about his comments at a press conference in Belfast yesterday.
He had claimed the 21 year old was engaged in criminality.
He made the comments in the wake Paul Quinn’s murder outside Castleblayney in 2007.
Paul’s mother Breege has repeatedly called for Conor Murphy to say publicly that her son was not a criminal.
She says the comments have compounded her family’s grief.
However, Conor Murphy yesterday said he would meet with the Quinn family but did not retract his previous comments:
