Consumers of the Mountain lodge Group Water Scheme are reminded that water is still unsafe to drink.

Last weekend the areas of Laragh, Tunnyduff, parts of Poles, and Mountain Lodge in Cavan were informed by Cavan County Council that the water showed elevated levels of aluminium and manganese and posed an immediate risk to health.

Tests are being carried out and the results will determine when the notice can be lifted, based on criteria set out through consultation with the HSE.
