Consumers of Mountainlodge and Billis-Lavey Group Water Schemes reminded of 'Do Not Consume' notice

Consumers of both the Mountainlodge and Billis-Lavey Group Water Schemes in Cavan are being reminded that the 'Do Not Consume' notices remain in place.

The notice has been in place in Billis-Lavey since August, while the Mountainlodge notice has been in place since July.

Both issues stem from elevated levels of manganese being found in the supply.

Customers of both schemes are strongly advised to follow the advice set out in the notice that has been issued.

They are also advised to avail of the alternative water sources which are available at designated locations.
