Councillor “annoyed by rumours” that footpath on Dublin Road wouldn’t be going ahead

Fianna Fáil Councillor Clifford Kelly says he is “annoyed” that local politicians created a rumour that a future footpath on the Dublin Road in Cavan wouldn’t be implemented.

At a Bailieborough – Cootehill District meeting yesterday, he sought “clarification” on behalf of local residents who had been fed “misinformation” regarding the footpath.

Kelly told Northern Sound that the area is very dangerous for pedestrians because of the heavy traffic on the road, particularly due to its proximity to Kingspan’s Headquarters.
