A Carrickmacross Councillor has called for a pedestrian crossing to be
constructed at the Cloughvalley Play Park.

Colm Carthy says a pedestrian crossing at the Rockdaniel / Cloughvalley Road
should be added to the Low Cost Safety Scheme and that planning should begin
as soon as possible.

There are two primary schools in the surrounds of Cloughvalley Play Park and
Councillor Carthy has asked for a traffic survey to be carried out to see if
there is a need for a pedestrian crossing.

The Sinn Féin councillor says he is confident that a traffic survey will
reveal that there is a need for a pedestrian crossing in the area:
