Councillor Colm Carthy says Magheracloone concerns were too often “brushed off”

Councillor Colm Carthy has claimed that concerns over future Magheracloone crown holes have been too often brushed aside.

Speaking after the discovery of a third hole in the site, he told Northern Sound that Gyproc “brushed off” concerns as unlikely.

Local resident Geraldine Ward said that Gyproc is “wreaking havoc on our small parish”, and Councillor Carthy said that he could “only imagine” what local residents are going through.

He also questioned why this new crownhole wasn’t on Gyproc’s radar.
