The Cathaoirleach of Monaghan County Council says Bank of Ireland must enable ATM lodgements in its Ballybay and Clones branches.
While Councillor Seamus Coyle is upset at the closures of the branches, he accepts that they need to be shut.
However, he says the inability to access lodgement services at the Ballybay and Clones ATMs is a “major concern”.
Councillor Coyle said that some people in Ballybay and Clones have to use public transport to access the Carrickmacross ATM, something he says is unacceptable at a time when people are encouraged to remain in their homes.
