Daffodil Day is set to launch in Castleblayney tonight.
Members of Monaghan’s Daffodil Day Committee will launch the annual fundraising event in the Glencarn Hotel and are appealing to the public to get involved.
Money raised through the Irish Cancer Society’s campaign will fund vital services for cancer patients and their families.
Last year, 41 cancer patients in Monaghan received 238 nights of care through the Society’s Night Nursing service.
Dympna McGovern is a local night nurse who cares for terminally ill cancer patients in their homes.
