Dáil going ahead with a debate on new terms of reference for Grace inquiry

The Dáil is going ahead with a debate on the new terms of reference for the Grace inquiry.

That’s despite a last-minute plea from the Public Accounts Committee to delay setting up the inquiry, so it could hold its own hearings first.

Members have instead been promised a written reply from the HSE, after claims it misled the committee about Grace last year.

Junior minister Finian McGrath says the commission needs to get up and running now.
