Dairy producers in Cavan and Monaghan are working to the most sustainable and responsible methods.

Marianne Walsh, Senior Nutritionist with the National Dairy Council was speaking at the “Sustainable Future for Food” event in Emyvale today. She said reports on veganism and plant-based diets won’t solve global warming problems and people need to be aware of the positive work done by local farmers.

Speaking to Northern Sound News, Marianne Walsh said Ireland is one of the most sustainable countries to produce animal-based foods.
