Deputy Smyth says Eurovision needs to be taken more seriously

‘We’re missing a valuable opportunity by not taking Eurovision more seriously’.

That’s according to local Fianna Fail Deputy Niamh Smyth who says that the Eurovision Song Contest has the biggest non-sporting television audience on earth.

She’s calling for a review of Ireland’s approach to the competition following the country’s latest failure to reach the final.
