Direct Democracy Ireland EU candidate calls for advisory referendums

The Direct Democracy Ireland candidate for the European Elections says he wants to see a system of advisory referendums introduced in Ireland.

Patrick Greene, who’s leader of the party, says a system of votes to gather the views of the electorate is needed, like the model used in Switzerland.

He says Ireland has been failed by politicians because they haven’t listened to what the public want. He explained more on The Joe Finnegan Show today:
